DIGA-ENERGIA, UMA PLATAFORMA DE SERVIÇOS AO USUÁRIO UTILIZANDO SMART GRID E O MIDDLEWARE GINGA

This paper presents the Diga-Energia, a platform of services provided by electric companies for their end-users. The Diga-Energia makes use of Smart Grid technology and the Ginga, a middleware developed for the Brazilian Digital TV. The paper also describes the Smart-Quadro, a prototype that enables sector management through eletrical circuits in residences. Initial expectation is that the integration of Smart Grid and the Ginga technologies could provide new services to the society. As a proof of concept of the Diga-Energia, the Smart-Quadro was integrated into the Diga-Saude, a home care system that monitors vital signs of people who require intensive healthcare.
