Abstract
This paper carries out an experiment-based channel characterization for a wireless sensor network based on the development kit TI eZ430-RF2500-SEH, which operates with solar energy harvesting. The channel model was obtained from measurements of the received signal strength (RSS) in an indoor environment. This model is tested through a coverage sensor application, and the energy management of the device is also investigated.
