Resumo
This work presents a case study on the application of an analog-digital phase shifter (ADPS) in a phased array system composed of four linearly spaced dipole antennas. The ADPS combines a 1-bit digital section and a reflective analog section based on varactors, providing a wide phase-shift range with low insertion loss. The phased array consists of the antenna array, phase shifters, Wilkinson combiner, and control system. The system was implemented and evaluated through experimental measurements of the radiation pattern and its ability to mitigate the effects of an interfering signal positioned at a different angular direction from the desired signal. The results demonstrate a high correspondence between the measured and simulated radiation patterns, validating the prototype implementation. The experiments also demonstrated that the proposed phase shifter adjusts the phase of the signals from the array elements so that the digital receiver correctly demodulating the desired signal even in the presence of an interfering signal with high SINR.
