Abstract

"This paper presents a general fading distribution \u2013 the \u03ba-\u00b5 Distribution - that includes the Rice and the Nakagami-m distributions as special cases. Therefore the One-Sided Gaussian and the Rayleigh distributions also constitute special cases and the Lognormal distribution may be well-approximated by the \u03ba-\u00b5 Distribution. Preliminary results show that the \u03ba-\u00b5 Distribution provides a very good fitting to experimental data."
