Abstract

A neural network is used to improve signal strength prediction of a mobile radio channel in a vegetated environment. For this, a measurement campaign was carried out in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, generating data for training and testing the network, with variations in frequency, height of the transmission antenna and routes, taken as input data to the network. The predicted signal strength were obtained as a network output and compared with those obtained by the log-distance prediction model, showing its efficiency.
