Abstract
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems have a high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR), which results in a high-resolution requirement for analog-to-digital (ADC) converters. However, the system's energy consumption is proportional to the resolution of these converters. In this work, we derive a filter based on the minimum mean square error (MMSE) able to mitigate the effect of quantization noise in the frequency domain in quantized OFDM (Q-OFDM) systems with low resolution. Simulations show that the proposed model results in bit error rate (BER) gain over traditional OFDM receivers.
