Abstract
This paper presents a shaping technique for Axis-Symmetric Dual-Reflector Antennas by combining Conic Sections for amplitude and phase control at the antenna aperture. The method is based on the concatenation of conic sections to describe the generators of the reflectors. The procedure is simple, using basic laws of cosine and sine, in addition to the equation of conics in polar coordinates and the equation of reflection in conics. The solution is obtained numerically, optimizing only one variable. The technique is applied in two examples, both in the ADC configuration, one with uniform amplitude and phase at the aperture, and another with non-uniform amplitude and phase.
