Abstract
The objective of this article is to research for a coverage model appropriate to a vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication system in a scenario of streets with lateral and/or centered vegetation, in the 5.8 GHz frequency, generally used in the IEEE 802.11p standard of vehicular system worldwide. For accomplish this, measurements were performed and several models are adjusted to the data in order to conclude about the most adequate V2I coverage in a vegetated channel.
