Abstract
This paper presents an application and adaptation of the epidemiological model known as Susceptible-Infected- Recovered to the mathematical modeling of the process of message forwarding in a Delay-Tolerant Network scenario char- acterized by epidemic routing. Simulation results are compared to the mathematical model indicating a good fit of the approach.
