Abstract
In this article we study radio resource allocation for cooperative networks with multiple relay nodes and users. Resource allocation in our scenario is composed of relay selection, subcarrier pairing and assignment as well as transmit power allocation. Motivated by the increased concern about energy resource efficiency, we propose the energy efficiency optimization in a cooperative scenario subject to quality of service constraints. Although the formulated problem is integer and non linear, we managed to optimally solve the problem by applying an iterative algorithm. Through computational simulations, we show the efficiency of the presented method, as well as the impact of optimizing energy efficiency on cooperative networks.
