Abstract
This paper presents a technique to increase the data throughput in Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Systems, considering the number of antennas and the Doppler spread for fading Reyleigh channels. The technique uses a meta-heuristic to optimize the throughput and to choose the best solution. The optimization is based on Artificial Intelligence, more precisely, on the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm with the objective of finding out the best antenna configuration to achieve the highest throughput. Simulation results show an increase of more than 15% in the data throughput considering 8x4 MIMO channels.
