Resumo
This paper investigates near-field multi-user beamfocusing using Extremely Large-Scale Multiple Input Multiple Output (XL-MIMO) systems, composed of a 100×100 dipole array operating at 28 GHz. The electromagnetic behavior of the array is modeled using the Method of Moments (MoM), allowing the calculation of the electric field in the near-field region. Eight users positioned in different spatial locations are considered, including scenarios with the same angular directions but different radial distances. The results demonstrate the ability of near-field beamfocusing to promote spatial focusing in both the angular and radial domains, enabling effective user separation. Furthermore, the power received by each user and the signal-to-interferenceto-noise ratio (SINR) are evaluated; the results demonstrated improvements on performance of the proposed system.
