U-TDOA Synchronization Based on Edge Computing for UWB Localization Systems
UWBUplink TDOAEdge ComputingSynchronization
Resumo
The accuracy of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) critically depends on anchor synchronization, especially in Uplink Time Difference of Arrival (U-TDOA) topologies. This work proposes a distributed edge architecture where temporal correction is performed directly ineach anchor's microcontroller firmware using an Exponential Moving Average (EMA) filter. The embedded EMA reduced the P95 simultaneous alignment interval from 751 ps to 484 ps, with 99.0% of samples below 500 ps and a median of 238 ps.
