Abstract
This study evaluates the performance of Advanced ISDB-T using non-uniform constellations (NUC) and slant polarization (+45°/-45°) in urban environments, aiming to meet the requirements of TV 3.0. Employing 16QAM modulation with low-rate LDPC coding (2/16), the tests showed that the use of NUC reduced reception thresholds by up to 120% compared to uniform constellations, with average gains ranging from 2 to 4 dB. The comparison between H/V and slant polarizations indicated equivalent performance. The results confirm the technical feasibility of these solutions, particularly when the goal is to operate under low signal-to-noise ratio (C/N) conditions.Download
