Abstract
This paper investigate the physical layer security (PLS) of an in-home and broadband multiple-input multipleoutput (MIMO) power line communication (PLC) system under the presence of a passive malicious PLC eavesdropper. To do so, the MIMO multiple eavesdroppers (MIMO-ME) PLC wiretap channel model is adopted and numerical results of secrecy outage probability (SOP) are analyzed. The numerical results show that the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) approach can deeply increase PLS in comparison to the SISO one. For instance, when MIMO-SE is considered, the lowest secrecy outage probability (SOP) across all adopted target secrecy rates and total transmission power values is observed. The findings highlight the potential of MIMO in improving the PLS in PLC systems.Download
