Abstract
This study conducts a first-order statistical analysis of the radio channel between a low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite and a ground station. We used measurements from the TinyGS project's open-access database, which included data from four satellites. The classical Loo and Lutz models were applied to generate cumulative distribution function (CDF) curves. The simulations and experimental data were statistically compared using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) test and Wasserstein distance metrics. Additionally, the K-nearest neighbors (KNN) algorithm was employed to estimate new input parameters for the Loo model, improving the accuracy of the results for the scenarios under investigation.Download
