Abstract

Very often interested readers highlight documents with felt pens. Such marking may be seen as personal and physically “damaging” the original document, thus a recent taxonomy on noises on paper documents includes highlighting as a “physical noise”. This paper addresses ways of filtering out highlighting in paper documents.
