Abstract

This article is a study on different strategies for sampling the chirp rate parameter used in the Fan Chirp Transform. In particular, sampling based on the estimation of the parameter’s PDF is proposed; some experiments are performed in order to get some insight on its potentialities, and the corresponding analysis is also presented. The main target is to reduce computational complexity while maintaining performance.
