Abstract
Wireless energy transfer is a key technology for future Internet of Things (IoT), enabling uninterrupted operation. In this work, we propose a novel approach to minimize the power recharging time while meeting a minimum harvested energy constraint at each IoT device. To solve this problem, the analog beamforming design at the power beacon (PB) is carried out considering only statistical channel state information (S-CSI). In addition, we consider that the IoT devices can harvest energy when the neighboring devices are being charged. From the simulation results, we can verify that the proposed approach can considerably reduce the recharging time for specific scenarios when compared to an approach where the devices are independently recharged and perfect CSI knowledge is assumed.
