Abstract
"This paper numerically analyzes the effects of Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) and Cross Phase Modulation (XPM) on 8, 16 and 32 Wavelength Division Multiplexed (WDM) Optical Systems, with channels allocated in the band of frequencies recommended by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Propagation is done along a Dispersion Shifted (DS) Fiber in 10 Gb/s. Analysis is conducted for different power levels along 10x100 km links, under total linear Dispersion Compensation scheme."
