Dynamic Behavior in Raman Fiber Amplifiers

In this paper the comparison of the transient responses of the surviving channels in a C-band dispersionshifted fiber (DSF) and dispersion-compensating fiber (DCF) based Raman fiber amplifiers (RFA) are presented. Counterpumped and co-pumped configurations are analyzed.
