Abstract
This work presents a simple tool for modeling microstrip structures based on the finite difference time domain (FDTD) technique. This is the start of an effort to construct oriented object software for the simulation of microwave structures using the FDTD method. Three simulations of microstrip structures are presented and three kinds of absorbing boundary conditions (ABC’s) are implemented. In this work, a tool has been created where the designer can model the shape of an arbitrary microwave structure defining the points of the mesh that are composed by dielectric or conductors materials.
