Abstract
The transformation of the energy sector brings challenges and opportunities for innovation and research. The peculiarities of Brazilian scenario demand specific studies to consolidate trends such as dynamic energy pricing. However, the lack of consumption databases is a major challenge for research in the sector. In order to guarantee data collection with quality, a fault-tolerant architecture is proposed to deal with momentary Internet unavailabilities. Initial results of data collection of one month in a residence together with implementation of consumption prediction algorithms are presented.
