Abstract
This work presents a robust beamformer for binaural hearing aid applications. The worst-case performance optimization method was applied to the minimum variance distortionless response beamformer for increasing its robustness against parameter errors. Computational simulations indicate significant improvements of up to 1.1 WPESQ in speech quality and up to 6.2 dB in acoustic comfort, in terms of signal to noise ratio (SNR). The proposed method is especially effective for input SNRs from 5 dB to 15 dB.
