Abstract
This paper presents a novel approach for nonlinear acoustic echo cancellation (NLAEC). The loudspeaker nonlinearities are modeled by a real physical model and a nonlinear preprocessing block (NPB) of static parameters is cascated with an adaptive linear FIR filter. The better nonlinear model for NPB implementation is determinated by analysis of the proposed system in terms of its echo cancellation performance versus computational load of each nonlinear model employed.
