Abstract

This work has as objective analyzes the influence of the square resonator introduced in the ground plane truncated of a microstrip antenna. The analysis was made through computational simulations using Ansoft HFSS software. For the analysis, an antenna without resonator and two antennas with resonators of different sizes were projected. From the simulations we find results for the loss of return and also the radiation diagrams. Analyzing the results we noticed similarities between the curves for the loss of return and we found the total gain of the antennas.
