Abstract
This paper presents the preleminary results of the electric field propagation along mixed paths (ground- fresh water) for digital TV study, in the amazon region. The measurement campaign has a total of 239 reception points distributed in 3 radials, 19 points were measured over ground and 220 points were measured over water. The values of measurement data were compared with the values obtained with following propagation models from literature: ITU-R P.1546-5, Okumura-Hata, Green dyadic functions and Ray Tracing. The metrics to test the performance of the models were the RMS (Root Mean Square) error and standar deviation. Among the mentioned models, the values of intensity of electric field calculated with ITU-R P.1546-5 model shows the better agreement with the values of measured data.
