Abstract

The use of multiple network interfaces for multi- media transmission can reduce packet delay by choosing the less congested end-to-end path for transmission. Delay-centric is a simple mechanism that selects the path with current lowest delay. When multiple users employ this mechanism there is a possibility of instabilities due to excessive path changes that increases overall packet delay. In this paper we investigate some modifications on the delay-centric algorithm to reduce overall transmission latency in a scenario with multiple independent transmissions.
