Analysis of Antenna Synthesis Techniques for Radar Specifications

The aim of this paper is to verify the performance of signal processing techniques in antenna synthesis. It is possible to reduce the quantity of elements in an antenna array with a slight alteration in the irradiation pattern applying signal processing techniques. Two synthesis methods are presented: the classical one and the signal processing one. Simulations for a radar antenna specifications are made, in order to compare the techniques performance.
